RITES and Delhi Metro Sign MoU to Execute Domestic and International Metro Projects

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and leading transport infrastructure consultancy firm RITES have agreed to collaborate on metro projects in India and other countries.

This strategic partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both organizations in managing and maintaining metro systems, enhancing their expertise in urban transit solutions.

RITES has established itself as a leader in technical consultancy services as the export arm of Indian Railways for rolling stock.

According to the official press release, the collaboration will include various services, including general consultancy, project management, detailed design, feasibility studies, and others.

DMRC and RITES want to pool resources and expertise to provide world-class urban transit solutions while capitalizing on the growing opportunities in the domestic and international metro sectors.

This partnership is also aligned with RITES’ ongoing international expansion efforts under its “RITES Abroad” initiative. According to an ANI report, RITES’ infrastructure expertise and DMRC’s extensive metro rail operations experience will combine to enable them to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the global transit systems space.

RITES Limited has made significant progress in the infrastructure sector at both domestic and international levels, working on projects in over 55 countries, spanning Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.

RITES’ support from inception to commissioning of Delhi Metro, India’s first major mass transit project, has been a significant milestone in transforming urban living by introducing comfortable, cost-effective, and eco-friendly transportation.

The company’s expertise is also evident in metro projects such as Delhi Metro, Bangalore Metro, Ahmedabad Metro, and Mauritius Metro, completing technically complex projects within timelines and budgets.
